Shree Nirmal Vivek School for Specially-abled
Children
With a vision to enable mentally challenged children lead a dignified life the Society for Welfare of Mentally Handicapped, was founded in 1988-89 by Lt.Sh. Shreepal Chand Mehta and Lt.Smt. Nirmala Mehta. It is the first vocational institute for the mentally challenged in Rajasthan. Starting with just seven children in a rented house, today the Society for Welfare of Mentally Handicapped has its own spacious building on a plot of nearly 4000 sq.mt, consisting of a Special School -Vivek, a hostel for outstation children-Shree Nirmal and a Vocational Training Centre - Samarth taking care of more than 100 beneficiaries

Three-fourths of the children with disabilities at the age of five years and one-fourth between 5-19 years do not go to any educational institution in India - UNESCO
Children and youths with Special Needs should receive the same education as those with other chronic illnesses and should have access to special education and other related services in accord with their needs as the disease progresses. With a team of over 50 people the school aims at providing education to Children.
